I miss Grandma Mary more than words can ever explain. She was such a caring, loving, and beautiful person, and I feel truly blessed to have had her as my grandma. She always had a way of making people feel loved, cared for, and welcomed, and the kindness she showed to everyone around her is something I will never forget. I’ll always remember the memories we shared, the way she cared about our family, and all the little things she did that showed just how much she loved us. Even though I wish she could still be here with us, I find comfort in knowing that the love she gave us will always stay in our hearts. I hope she is in Heaven now, happy and at peace, enjoying her time with Grandpa Bob. I like to imagine that they are together again, looking down on everyone they loved and watching over us. Grandma Mary will always have a special place in my heart, and no matter how much time passes, I will never forget how loving and caring she was. I miss you so much, Grandma Mary, and I hope you and Grandpa Bob are together in Heaven, surrounded by peace and happiness. I love you, and I will carry your memory with me forever.

Dearest Mary,
You were my neighbor friend and confidante, my shopping buddy, sous chef and partner in crime.
I can still picture you and Lolly standing by the stove stirring something. We had so much fun baking together, taste testing and of course playing cards.
Sadly, nothing is the same since you and my Lolly are gone. (Watch over her for me)
Our ladies luncheon was always a great time…Talk & Eat , two of our favorite things to do!
I think of you always and hope you know our friendship meant the world to me. You were a Blessing to me and my family
The memory of you will never fade.
Never again will I have a friend like you.
You’re gone from my sight, but the laughter, life lessons and love you gave will always be in my heart.
 I Love You Mary.
Rest Now

Darling Mary Hayes
We have known you and the family since you moved next door over 41 years ago.
Together we have gone thru so many ups and downs over the years.
Today we remember our dear friend Mary. She was truly part of our lives and our hearts. You were more than just my neighbor you’re a member of the family and a great friend.
When I needed someone most you were always there for me/us.
We will always treasure the laughter the talks the hard times and all the memories we shared and of course the Ladies B’s Lunches.
From all the talks over coffee to checking in on one another, to sharing life’s joys and sorrows. You were always there. Your friendship was true and loyal no matter what the issue.
We will miss seeing Your and your voice saying (Pero butt) and knowing you were only a phone call away.
We all will deeply miss you and never forget you.
You may be gone from my sight but you will never be gone from our hearts.
Thanks for sharing life’s joys, sorrows and being a true friend.
Say hello to all our Angels in heaven. They are waiting for you with open arms.
Rest in Peace my friend.
Love Always
José , Sylvia Galvicius and Family.

Grandma Mary was always loving and supportive. She was a big part of our family. I couldn’t have asked for a better grandmother to have in my life. She always had a smile and was always so happy when we spent time together. You will be missed and I love you grandma.

My mother, Maria Hayes, was a wonderful mother, and I was truly blessed to have her love and guidance throughout this crazy journey called life.
She was everyone’s rock. When you thought of home, you thought of my mother. There were very few people she met who did not become family. She had a big, beautiful heart, and because of her, I always knew I was loved.
We shared so many laughs, along with a few late-night phone calls after a couple of cocktails. Those memories will always bring a smile to my face.
She loved her family and friends deeply, and she will be missed more than words can express. I wish she were still here, but I find comfort in knowing that she is in a better place and at peace—with my dad, all her friends, and Javi.
She is back with her Creator, and I know I will see her again when my own trip around the sun is complete. I love you always Mom

Mary Hayes was my Mother-In-Law and she was a wonderful, warm, and happy person. I remember some very happy moments. At times there was a communication barrier, but we always figured it out and laughed while we were doing so. Sometimes on my part and sometimes on hers. She had a great sense of humor which I always enjoyed. She will be missed, but I am glad she is no longer suffering and is in peace

Dear family,

We want to share our deepest condolences in the loss of your mom, grandma, sister, and auntie. Maria was a wonderful lady to everybody. She welcomed everyone into her family with an open arms, including our family. She was very loving and giving in all ways. I always had trouble understanding her when she spoke because she spoke so fast and with her Spanish accent I really struggled to catch everything she was saying, lol. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her and we pray that she is in God's loving arms. Sending hugs and love to all of you during this difficult time.

Love from Dave and Karen Peters and family.

Mary was a wonderful women, wife, mother and grandmother, also a well liked friend. Always has a smile on her face, loved her beautiful accent. She will be at peace, God Bless.

My condolences go out to
Diane,Debbie,Erica,Tyler,Greg
For the loss of your mom and grandma
For she will be greatly missed

In Matthew 7:24-27
It talks about building your house on a rock and not on sand. Maria C Hayes was that Rock that built a strong loving and caring family. Not all members of the family were blood but we are a strong family built on a solid rock foundation with love, compassion, understandings, patience, not judging and devotion to family.

Mom was that rock that built that family and stayed strong for all of us.I am very grateful and blessed to be part of this family.

When mom was in hospice we were talking and mom looked at me and said “ Can you believe that we would be here together at the end “
That statement hit me hard, what we have is a very special relationship that has lasted for over four decades. She has been and always will have a strong impact on my life. The joy that I have in my heart is that she is with her sweetheart again.

I know that you will be watching over us to keep us safe and loved

I love you mom and I am grateful for everything

Diane, We’re so sorry for the loss of your Mom. We are thinking of you, Dan, and your family during this difficult time. May your memories bring you comfort and peace.

I've known Mary since I was a little girl.... and that was a long long time ago. I think Debbie and I were 5 or 6 years old when our family's met. Our mom's became fast friends, part of the Winston Village group in Bolingbrook and they remained very close til the end of their lives. Rita, Mary and Gilda. I heard many stories about the kids and grandkids from mom and Mary. To Mary we were all family. She treated all her friends that way. She would call me and talk to me when my mom was sick and wasn't answering her phone, or after my mom passed and she would tell me how she was feeling.. even when it wasn't good. I think because i was a nurse she felt comfortable sharing... or maybe she just loved to talk 😉! Either way, she always made me feel special and a part of her life. I'm so happy I got to see her and share lunch and memories with her in 2024.

“None of us lives for ourselves, and no one dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord “. Dearest Maria, you had touched many lives positively in different way.
To me, your life is a blessing, and your memory is a treasure. I sincerely appreciate your kindness, those words of encouragement and your love towards me. Thank you for everything. Continues to rest in eternal comfort of the Lord, our God.
Adieu!

To Grandma Mary,

I’m not really sure how to put all of this into words, but I’m going to try.

I miss you so much. Knowing that you’re gone and that I can’t see you anymore hurts more than I can explain. Not being able to go on our coffee runs or our secret battery runs just doesn’t feel the same. Sometimes when I pass by Panera, I still feel tempted to turn, thinking that you’re still here and need your coffee.

I’ll always remember the times I would come visit you, sit with you, and just talk about life and even just watch the football games (I never knew you liked football). We would laugh, talk, and enjoy the simple moments together. Those are memories I’ll hold onto forever.

You were one of the nicest people I have ever known. You wouldn’t hurt a soul, and you always had so much kindness in your heart. I truly believe everyone should try to be more like you. I know I will carry that part of you with me for the rest of my life.

As much as I wish you were still here, I’m happy knowing that you’re not in pain anymore. And I’m happy knowing that you’re with Grandpa Bob again. I know how much you missed him, and I know the two of you were inseparable. I like to think that you’re together again, watching over all of us.

I’m so grateful and honored that I got to be your first great-grandson. I’m especially grateful that I was able to be there for you and help you these past few years. I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything.

I wish I could still call you and hear your voice. I still listen to your voicemails sometimes, just because hearing your voice makes me feel a little closer to you. I know it’s going to take time to get used to you not being here, but I’ll keep all of our memories close to my heart.

And I know that someday, I’ll see you again.

El tiempo dirá.

I love you, Grandma.
Thank you for everything.

Diane,Debbie, and Family
So Sorry for your loss
Mary was a special woman
Another angel got her wings

I am sad to hear of the great loss to Diane and Dan and family members of their beloved mother Maria Hayes. Please know that I will keep you all in my prayers.
Love always,

San Antonio

We are so sorry for your loss. We are sending you all our love and a big, heartfelt hug. We will always carry in our hearts and in our memories the greatness of that exceptional human being who was your brave grandma.

We feel deeply grateful and blessed for everything we were able to share with her. Erica, you will always be a beautiful example of the greatest legacy she could have given you: your incredible humanity.

With all our love and a very big hug to you and to the entire American Carrillo family.

Lucía & Jaime ❤️

The best parts of me are because of her.

It’s hard to put into words what it means to lose the woman who helped shape your entire soul.

My grandma had a heart that gave everything and loved unconditionally. She was my original shopping buddy, my confidant, my favorite listening ear, and the warmest hug in the world. She always kept up with every detail of our lives and genuinely cared about the lives of my closest friends, treating them like her own. What started as childhood sleepovers at her house grew into unforgettable sleepovers with her amazing sisters in Spain, sleepovers at my house, and sweet, loving sleepovers holding her close at the end of her life.

She loved so hard, and at the end, that love was returned tenfold. Surrounded by family here, along with a constant flow of love, prayers, and messages from our family across Spain and Guatemala, she was so deeply cherished and transitioned so peacefully. I have no doubt my dog Xavi was right there by her side, gently guiding her home to the arms of my grandpa, her honey, and the rest of our family waiting on the other side.

Thank you, Grandma, for being the very best of me. You shaped so much of who I am, and I promise to carry your spirit, your warmth, and your legacy with me always. Te quiero mucho.

Me and Grandma Mary at my birthday lunch ❤️

You were my best friend Grandma Mary. She was the most caring, loving and kindhearted person I knew. I will miss going to visit you and tell you all about my day and you telling me about your day. I will miss hearing you tell me how much you loved me and how I was your favorite, When I was with you, there was nothing I could do wrong in your eyes. I will also miss sharing laughs with you and seeing your face light up with a beautiful smile when I would come see you. I will miss you so so so very much, words can’t express how much I will miss you everyday. As I go through my journey in this life, I will cherish all the memories I have with you forever and keep them close in my heart always. I know it’s going to be hard to get over losing you but I will be strong because I was your strong girl. I will always look for you when I accomplish something and I will always remember that you are by my side with your comfort and guidance. I love you forever and always Grandma Mary🪽🤍.

Maria will always be fondly remembered
for her wonderful smile when she was
greeted by any member of our family. She immediately put people at ease with her
warm personality. Her living legacy exists
in the personality of her daughter Diane
as a sharing and caring person.
Maria will be missed….

Maria was such a warm and gentle presence. In the times I spent with her, she always made my family and I feel comfortable and welcome, as if we had known each other forever. I know she will be dearly missed, and will pray for her close friends and family as they walk through this great loss.

To my Mother-In-Law Mary Hayes-

It has been my privilege to know you for the last 20 years. When Diane and I met, she did not hesitate to introduce me to her family—Tyler and you—and I always knew you were part of the package. From the very beginning, you made me feel welcomed and loved.
Every visit felt like a celebration as I continued to meet more of the family over the years. You were, and always will be, remembered as everyone’s Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and friend. Even in assisted living, your family and extended family continued to grow because people were naturally drawn to your warmth and kindness.
We all came to you for advice, comfort, and love. You stayed busy until the end with your social activities at Rock Run and, most importantly, spending time with family. You will be sorely missed, but you will always be loved and remembered.
I am so glad that you are at peace and I am so proud to have been part of your life.
Love, Dan

My mother, Maria Hayes, will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the strength she carried , and the kindness she shared with everyone who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose presence brought comfort, guidance, and warmth to her family. Her love was steady, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. We hope she is at peace and getting all the coffee and kisses she wants. Her favorite people on earth love her deeply and will miss her more than words can say. I know her favorite people in heaven, especially my father and her parents welcomed her with so much love. Though she will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the love she poured into her family will live on always. You asked me to make sure you got home and I did and am blessed to be your daughter.
