

Raymond, a longtime resident of Stickney, retired in 1991 from the Illinois Department of Transportation where he worked in District 1 for more than 34 years. He was an avid outdoorsman as a young man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army in the 1st Cavalry Division and was stationed at Camp Kaiser in South Korea from 1962 to 1964 where he helped protect the demilitarized zone. He completed his service with the Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged.
Loving survivors include his wife, Peggy L., of 52 years of Stickney; sister Charlene (Ron) Mionske of Bolingbrook, IL; nephews, William F. (Andrea) Albrecht III of Spring, TX; Ron Mionske; Matthew Mionske; and Kenneth Hazelett; nieces, Allison (Jeff) Pilz of Bloomingdale, IL; and Cheryl Hazelett; and great-niece Aubrey Albrecht of Spring, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William F. Albrecht II; and sister, Patricia Hazelett.
Funeral services will be held Friday Jan. 14, 2022, 10a.m. at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney. Interment to follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
