Robert Edward Bouzek

Robert Edward Bouzek, “Bob,” died unexpectedly on December 5, 2019 at the age of 86 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL, after suffering a major stroke. Bob is survived by daughters Michaelle, Elisabeth, and Jane, his sister, Marion, and his grandchildren Lucy, Robertson, Maya and Owen. He is preceded in death by daughter, Lisa. Bob was born on September 24, 1933 in Prairie du chien, Wisconsin to Emma and Edward. He graduated from The University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Journalism. Bob was an accomplished writer and editor. While serving in the United States Air Force, he founded a Stars and Stripes in Darmstadt, Germany. Bob was a man of very strong faith, and worked daily toward following God’s will for him.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, December 14th at 2pm at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1125 Franklin St., Downers Grove, IL 60515 with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Father Gregg Morris will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob's life. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
