Robert Anthony Kessel was born on November 16th, 1958, to Catherine [nee Russell] and Robert W. Kessel. He joined the family with his older brother, Michael who was almost 2 at the time. They lived in Shorewood, IL for a short time. There Bob enjoyed local farms and the outdoors.
He attended Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL and later attended Triton College to obtain accounting knowledge. He chose to drive a dumpster truck for building excavation sites instead. Most recently, he worked as an installation carpenter for window treatments in hospitals, nursing homes, and schools all over the area.
Bob married Glenda Smith on December 21st, 1996, and celebrated 28 years together. They made their home in Stickney, IL. They had no children but he is remembered by his wife, nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother.
There will be a memorial service for Bob on August 15th, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church, 6700 W. Gunnison Ave. Harwood Heights, IL 60706.
