Sam was the owner of the local restaurant, Alexander's, for 40 years and a trustee in Stickney for 12 years.
Sam is survived by his son, Billy; his brother, George; his sister, Connie (the late Jim); his nephew, Danny; his niece, Joanne; as well as many other friends he made in the community over the years.
A visitation for Sam will be held Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 S Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60644. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2905 N Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171.
