Dear Family of Sharon Novak,

My first contact with Sharon was in 1990, when I interviewed for a teaching position at College of DuPage. Even over the phone, when Sharon and I were setting up the interview schedule, I knew the person on that other line was gracious, sincere, and honest. Sharon and I ended up working together for more than 15 years until she retired from College of DuPage, Natural Sciences Division. Sharon was like a loving aunt to me. Sharon and Jack, and her children, and grand children became my family too. My wife and two children knew and loved Sharon very much. Sharon had a big impact on my professional life, both in the classroom and eventually in administrative roles that included serving as a college President. She was a mentor, more than many knew. Sharon, see you in paradise. 

May the Father of tender mercies and God of all comfort, grant the family all they need to endure the loss of their beloved Sharon, cherishing and celebrating her glorious life.

I only met her a few times towards the end of her time here,  but she always was pleasant and friendly.

I was so saddened to hear of Sharon's passing.  I have known her for so many years, both  as a sociology faculty member and administrator.  I could always depend on Sharon for assistance and friendship.  My sincere condolences to her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.   I'll never forget how she stayed on to train me at COD and remained my friend after she finally got to retire.   I will surely miss her.  RIP Sharon.

When I came to the College of DuPage, I met Sharon. Sharon always found ways to help me in adjusting to the College. She was the secretary for Ruth Nechoda. Ruth was my superior. She too was so very helpful. Sharon would do little favors for me and we would laugh at some of the things that were going on at CD. I wish that I could tell Sharon how much I remember and the sadness to learn of her passing away. I send hugs to all of Sharon's family.

It is to my great sorrow to learn of Sharon's passing.  She was not only my administrative assistant for years, but also the Natural Sciences secretary who kept the division running smoothly.  Because of my mobility problems, I may not be able to attend the service.  Know that I will always have fond memories  of my friendship with Sharon, and I send my condolences to her family.

Sharon was the administrative assistant in Natural Sciences while I served as dean.  She was a wonderful helpmate to a novice administrator and a truly wonderful friend.

So sorry to hear about the passing of one beautiful person. Sharon worked with me for many years at the College of DuPage. She always had a great smile and positive personality. She will be missed and in my thoughts and prays. RIP Sharon!

So many memories of Sharon... as the Avon lady, our after-school stopping point, and good friend of my Mother's.  She was so kind and her smile  was beautiful.  My deepest condolences to her family.  I hope you can find  comfort in your memories of her.
