

Growing up in Chicago, he graduated from Harrison High School and afterwards he joined the Army in 1960.
He worked for Griffin Wheel for many years and worked for INX where he retired.
Stanley married the love of his life Diane Gonciarczyk and they were happily married for 53 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane.
He was a diehard Cubs fan, while enjoying many hobbies such as fishing, cooking for family and friends, and flying and raising pigeons. He was well-known and revered among the pigeon-flying community. Stanley was awarded several titles and had numerous accomplishments over his lifetime.
Stanley is survived by his sons Glenn (Dawn), Robert (Cindy), Gary (Lisa), Jeffrey (Jessica), Kathy and his sisters LaVerne (Vernon), Henrietta (Ciro) and his brothers John (Beverly) and Anthony (Rebecca).
He was the cherished grandfather of Jay, Abigail, Rebecca, Joy, Andrew, Christopher, Anna, Zachary, Daniel, Julia, Brandon, Sydney, Joel and Amy and great-grandfather to Esme, Victoria, and Scarlett. He was loved by his nieces, nephews and other relatives. He also had many other friends, both human and feathered.
Visitation will be held at Mount Auburn Funeral Home 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney between the hours of 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday June 30, 2017. Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:30 am followed by interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
