With deep love and cherished memories, the family of Teodocio Acevedo announces his peaceful passing. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Teodocio’s life was defined by the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind.

Teodocio shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Luisa, whose companionship was the foundation of their family. Together, they raised their children—Yolanda, Julian, and Serjio—instilling in them the values of kindness, strength, and devotion. His role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and his grandchildren—Julian, Erica, and Jovani—were a constant source of pride and happiness.

Those who knew Teodocio will remember his warm heart, steady presence, and the love he poured into every relationship. He loved telling stories, always with his special charm that made everyone laugh. He was very funny, and with his humor he filled his family with joy. He will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

Though he has left this world, Teodocio’s spirit lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the strength of his children, and the love of his wife and family. His legacy is one of devotion, humility, and endless care.

A visitation for Teodocio will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 4300 S. Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. A graveside service will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.

Con mucho amor y cariño, la familia de Teodocio Acevedo anuncia su fallecimiento en paz. Fue un esposo, padre y abuelo dedicado, y siempre será recordado por el amor que dio y por la huella que deja en su familia.

Teodocio compartió una vida hermosa con su querida esposa, Luisa, con quien formó un hogar lleno de unión por 58 años. Juntos criaron a sus hijos—Yolanda, Julián y Serjio—enseñándoles el valor de la bondad, la fuerza y el respeto. Como abuelo, encontró una gran alegría en sus nietos—Julián, Érica y Jovani—quienes siempre fueron motivo de orgullo para él.

Quienes lo conocieron lo recordarán por su buen corazón, su tranquilidad y el cariño que dio a todos. Le encantaba contar historias, siempre con su gracia tan especial que hacía reír a todos. Era muy chistoso y con su humor llenaba de alegría a su familia. Su ausencia se sentirá mucho, pero vivirá para siempre en los recuerdos y corazones de quienes lo amaron.

Aunque ya no está físicamente, el espíritu de Teodocio sigue presente en las sonrisas de sus nietos, en la fortaleza de sus hijos y en el amor de su esposa y familia. Su recuerdo siempre será un ejemplo de amor y sencillez.
