I will always remember la señora Vicenta as an angel. I will never forget how supportive she was of many of us and specifically of all the mothers that came through the countless meetings of PFLAG en español.
She will tell her story of how supportive she was of Aurora and those conversations in turn inspired many to support their LGBT children.
We lost an angel and God gained one with la señora Vicenta.

I remember seeing her picture in a Spanish newspaper when I worked in Elk Grove Village years ago and thinking how cool that she was part of a group helping parents to accept their LGBTQ children. It made me proud that she was part of providing a much needed resource for the Latinx community and teaching other parents how to be supportive, loving and compassionate. Let her love and her life serve as an example to everyone that one person can indeed make a difference. And may her light continue to burn brightly!
