Wilma L. Majcen, age 82, of Batavia, IL passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Wilma was born September 27. 1938 in Chicago, IL to Estelle and Earl Dion. On August 17, 1957 Wilma married Anton J. Majcen.

Loving wife of Anton J. Majcen, CPD. Beloved mother of Anton (Irina), Brenda (Rick) Budaitis, Gary (Dawn), Kris (Christine), Eric, CFD (Danielle), Aimee Escamilla. Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Joshua, Caleb, Breane, Brenna, Krista, Katie, Evelina, Jack, Leah, Gilbert, Jessica and Meghan.

Funeral mass services will be limited to the immediate family in respect of the church’s COVID guidelines. Live streamline of services will be available, https://holycross-batavia.org/live Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 24, 2021 10:30 am mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street, Batavia, IL 60510 followed by a visitation at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave., Stickney, IL from 4-8 pm. In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Mount Auburn Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at services at a time. Proper social distancing must be practiced and all guests will be required to wear face masks.

Chapel Prayers Thursday, February 25, 2021 10:30 am at Mount Auburn Funeral Home (708) 749-2033. In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Mount Auburn Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at services at a time. Proper social distancing must be practiced and all guests will be required to wear face masks.

Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 S. Archer Ave., Justice, IL 60458. Limited to 30 guests.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude would be appreciated.

My deepest condolences to you and your family during this time. No one can ever replace the amazing person Wilma was. Wilma was a loving cousin and good friend to my mother, and extended that love and friendship to my entire family. Wilma will truly be missed.

Sorry to hear of the Family loss! I know how deeply she will be missed. I lost my wife Phyllis just last year to covid, and I miss her constantly.. I know that Willy and Phyllis will have a lots to talk about, when the are together. I will include her in my daily prayer. And I will look forward to seeing her when my time comes . May she rest in peace in the arms of Our Lord!

I am so sorry to hear the sad news of Willie’s passing. I have very fond memories of her when you would all come to visit your mom/grandma and Roman on Lillian street. I remember her hearty laugh and beautiful red hair. She was a wonderful soul.
