A. Louise Flowers quietly passed away June 7, 2013 after a long illness. She was born with cerebral palsy, raised in Atlanta and for six years in Redwood City, California. For seven years she worked with Atlanta Linen Company not ever missing a day even though she felt badly many days. She belonged to Oakland Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia. Ms. Flowers definitely inspired anyone around her. Doctors marveled at her resolve, church friends constantly talked of her smile and her tenacity, family adored her, and she taught patience and love. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her sister, Grace and brother-in-law Ken Coombs of Hampton, sister-in-law Joan Flowers of Villa Rica, 6 nephews and nieces, two great great nephews and one great great niece.
Services will be Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:00 am at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel. The family will greet friends Saturday, June 8 from 6-8pm and Sunday, June 9 from 2-4pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crest Lawn Cemetery, Atlanta. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oakland Baptist Church, McDonough, GA.
