

Mrs. Angela Sutton was born on October 16, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia as the oldest of three children born to the late Mrs. Charlie Mae Thomas and the late Mr. Everett Starling. She departed this life on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Angela confessed faith in Christ at the young age of twenty and became a member of the Move of God Church in Atlanta, Georgia. There she opened her heart to God and welcomed His Spirit in to dwell eternally. Upon marriage to her husband Keith in 1999, she joined New Birth Missionary Church where she was a Deacon’s wife and member of the Women On The Path ministry. Her final place of worship and membership was Berean Christian Church in Stockbridge, Georgia where she served in the Greeter’s ministry and volunteered by serving in the Berean Outreach Food Pantry ministry.
Angela graduated from Briarwood High School in East Point, Georgia where she participated in a number of clubs. Angela received her degree in Education from Atlanta Metropolitan State College. Her career began in state government with the Department of Labor. Angela went on to become a vital part of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s agency, the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. While there, Angela touched many lives and provided friendly advice and shared her love for Christ. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her husband and daughter and taking vacations to Destin Florida every summer. Angela was well known in her community of friends for her cakes which she baked to the delight of friends and strangers. Angela was also a sports fan and enjoyed watching football games with her husband and being a big New York Knicks basketball fan. Angela also loved fashion with her favorite color being orange. She had a natural and organic way of caring, nurturing, and loving her plants just as she did with everyone she touched.
Angela was the embodiment of genuine love, and she always encouraged others and made sure to share a laugh along the way. She could always tell you about the goodness of God and where he brought her from. She truly had a testimony. She was always there to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and anyone in need.
Angela leaves to cherish precious memories to her husband, Keith Sutton, her daughter, Shelby Sutton, her mother, Charlie-Mae Thomas (deceased}, father, Everett Starling (deceased), her in-laws, Nehemiah and Carolyne Sutton, her brother, Marvin Williams (Fabiola), her sister, Chemedria Ballard, sisters in-laws Karen Smith, Andrea Sutton, brother-in-law, Michael Sutton; three nephews, Colby Cameron, Chase Cameron and Joshua Valazquez, and four nieces, Morgan Charles, Lindsey Smith, Takeita Ayala, and Natalie Valaquez; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, grand nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
