Family God gives a peace that surpasses all understanding.He will give you peace.My heart is sadden to hear of this news. I was informed this morning. I am along life friend grew up with the Blackwell at St. John Baptist Church. Wife children, his mom and sis. And brother,peace be upon your sports.

I am shocked and saddened by Barrett's passing. We ran track in high school. What I remember most about Barrett was his thoughtfulness, quiet confidence, and class. What a nice guy! Rest in peace, my friend.

I have known Barrett ever since he was born, as he was my nephew.  He was honest, dependable, devoted, loving to all the members of his family, especially to the mother of his children and to his parents - as they were to him.  God bless his wife, Hazel, his sons and daughter; and God be with him during his transition to his final home. Good-bye "Baby Brother" and thank you for being so thoughtful and kind.
