My condolences to you and your family. The struggle of the loss of a loved one is difficult. I pray that your family will make it through. Just lean on the comforting shoulder of God and everything will be better.

While checking the obits for a notice of a friend's funeral, I saw the notice for Mrs. Grubbs and was heartbroken.  I taught the Grubbs' girls at Chapel Hill Elementary and Mrs. Grubbs was the most wonderful parent.  She was always supportive, not only to her kids, but every child in the class.  I ran across
her a few years ago and there she was, still supporting children.  My sincere sympathy to the Grubbs family at the loss of such a beautiful person.  She is in heaven, now helping the angels.

As I searched the obits for notice of another friend's death, I came across the notice for Mrs. Grubbs.  I was so sad to hear of the passing of such a warm and caring person.  I taught Marianne and Helga at Chapel Hill Elementary and Mrs. Grubbs was such a wonderful, supportive, and dedicated parent.  My deepest sympathy to the family in the loss of such a beautiful person. I'm sorry I can't be with you.

For a woman that I spired many generations with her spirit of life.....She will be mourned she will be cherished for she was and will always be loved....Take your rest at the right hand of the Lord....

Marianne, Helga and John, my heart is with you today. Your mother has always been such a beautiful person inside and out. She always was happy to help at SWD and beyond. She was an example of how to be a kind and loving citizen of this world. You all are doing an amazing job of carrying on her legacy. I love you all and will always remember our time together growing up.

I offer my love and condolences to the Grubbs family. Beate was truly an Angel here on earth. My fondest memories dates back to our time at SWD. She loved and supported all of the programs and students at the school. I can still hear her cowbell and German accent as she cheered on all of the sports teams at SWD! She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

My sincere condolences to the Grubbs family.  Mrs. Grubbs was a wonderful person who gave so much of herself to others, especially at SWD.  Her extraordinary generosity, love, and support shown, not only to the students, but also to me personally during my tenure there--and afterward--will always be a precious memory.

Mrs. Grubbs was a very welcoming person.  My son is best friends with Laffy and she treated my son as a grandson.  I will alway appreciate the things she did for him.  My first time meeting her, she talked to me as if she had known me all my life.  She will always have a place in my  heart.  To her family keep the good  memories close to your heart  and know that there's a better place. God bless you all.

My Family an I want to express our deepest mourning for Beates sudden death. She was my Cousin, since my father Theo and her father Erich have been Brothers. Our whole Family was shocked when we first heard of her heavy stroke. We met Beate last time about 6 years ago in Nürnberg, Gemany and she was a very warm-hearted, vivacious woman. This Impression of her we will Keep in mind and in our hearts und we will include her and her Family in our prayers.

Mrs. Grubbs was a lovely woman with a great heart and a commitment to making all the student athletes feel special. Her creativity and her genuine spirit will always be remembered.

Mrs. Grubbs was a very warm, loving mother.  She was very supportive to SWD and its teachers.  My prayers go out to her family for their loss.

I could never forget Beate and her commitment, so many years ago, to girl scouts. She was such a hard working and loving person. Its been decades since I last saw her but memories of her are very fresh in my mind and heart.

In School Mrs. Grubbs was very supportive of me and all of my teamates in all the sports that I participated in throughout my time at Southwest DeKalb. Out of school, through me being close to her family almost the whole time I've lived in the state of Georgia and becoming best friends with her grandson growing up she always made me feel like family, and til this day I still appreciate that. I just want to wish peace and love to the soul as well as the family of Mrs. Grumbs a.k.a Oma (Grandma in German).

We all want to send our condolences and best wishes for a wonerful  sister, sister.in law, mother and grandmother. Beate was one of the most generous persons we ever knew. I remember the wonderful visit in 2000 when she took me to see so many wonderful places in your countryside, especially Stone Mountain. Or one of the last times she was here in Germany with part of her family and we went to the South Tyrolian area of Italy for a meeting of friends with Beate's mother. We miss her so much, but now she has opened a new chapter in her book of life and we wish her God speed. We wish we could all join hands with you around Beate one more time. God bless you all and may he give you new strength for the years ahead, knowing that Beate, in her way, made your lives much richer than you might have realized. Thank you Mrs Grubbs for being the wonderful person and educator to my sister and I. We were blessed beyond measure to be apart of the SWD family an to be guided by such a loving soul such as yourself. You shared your knowledge, your love, and your family with us. All of the Grubbs help to teach me what family means, you were so much like my own mother, an I thank God he placed you and your entire family in my life. So take your well deserved rest, an watch the fruits of your labor, blossom in all the future generations you've touch.
