WAKEFIELD, Dean Roebuck Wakefield died peacefully in her sleep on September 5th. She is survived by her son Steven Wakefield of Placerville, Ca, daughter Sandra Evans of Locust Grove Ga; sister Mildred Kimrey of Lithonia, Ga; Granddaughters Tammie Hinton, Carrie Kirkpatrick, Jessalyn Wakefield, Leslie Knight and Lillian Wakefield and six great grandchildren. She was born on a farm near, Conyers Ga on October 1, 1918 and although she moved to Atlanta working for Riches, Bell Aircraft and retired from Lockheed Aircraft Corp in 1981, she remained a country girl at heart. She loved fishing, and gardening and will be remembered for her winning smile and gentle spirit. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 8, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward. Pastor Bart Stone will officiate. Interment in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive at the funeral home two hours prior from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
