

Betty was a faithful and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She transitioned peacefully under home hospice care with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter Samantha and niece Sheila by her side
Betty was the daughter of the late Hardy Bryant and Zola Christie Johnson, the eleventh of eleven siblings. Betty grew up in Fargo, Georgia and left small town life behind at the age of 18 to attend business school in Atlanta. Betty would say her greatest accomplishment in life was her career with the Department of Housing and Urban Development where she retired after 35 years.
Betty was a member of Union Methodist Church and a woman of deep faith and prayer. She was very active in the Women of the Church, her circle and serving her community. Betty was an avid gardener, seamstress, crocheter and traveler. Betty visited all 50 states in the United States and every province in Canada. She enjoyed supporting her son at all the various activities, sports and his education and continued that support to her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Boyd Roswell, GA; son and daughter-in-law Barry and Toni Ethridge Roswell, GA; grandchildren: Samantha Ethridge Marietta, GA; Quinn Ethridge Apex, NC; Lucy-Gray Lansing Roswell, GA; Tucker Lansing (Jenny) Tucker, GA; Carolina Lansing Brookhaven, GA
Betty also left several brother-in laws, sisters in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation for Betty will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of life will occur Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. An interment will occur Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Betty’s church Union Methodist Church c/o Ray Miller, 269 Moseley Road, Stockbridge GA 30281.
