On Friday December 8, 2017, Betty Frances Timbs, age 80 of Powhatan, VA, beloved wife of the late Jerry Timbs, Sr., passed away. Loving mother of Gary Jones (Sandra), Alan Jones (the late Sharon), Barry Jones (Joy), Dennis Jones (Julie), Jerry Timbs, Jr. (Gloria), Greg Timbs (Misty), Chris Timbs (Lee), step-son, David Timbs (Melissa). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, numerous nieces, nephews loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Debbie Timbs.
She was an avid reader, she loved to cook and enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of Assembly of God Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
