Carl Swindell was called home to be with Jesus on Tuesday May 7, 2013 in the early morning hours. Carl was a devoted Christian and he could be counted on to be at church every Sunday morning. He is now at his final resting place, with the two loves of his life: Christ and his wife of 55 years Jacqueline. Carl was preceded in death by Jacqueline (Jackie) in 2005. He is survived by seven siblings as well as his children: Chris Swindell, Caron and Jay Cantrell, Wanda and Bond Bowman, and Regina and David Ivey. Along with his children he leaves behind fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday May 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m at the Stockbridge Community Church. Pastor Jeff Daws will officiate with interment in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Fairview chapel of Horis A. Ward from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday May 9, 2013.
