With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol R. Taylor, a woman who lived life with strength, love, and an undeniable spirit. Carol was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother whose kindness, understanding, and warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She married the love of her life, James Taylor, on February 5, 1972, and together they built 53 years of laughter, memories, and unwavering partnership. Carol was a force to be reckoned with—strong, compassionate, and unapologetically herself. She was a badass in every sense, never backing down from a challenge and always standing by the people she loved.
She was the best wife, the greatest mom, and an irreplaceable grandmother. Her love was endless, her wisdom unmatched, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, James Taylor; her daughter, Danyielle Reister; and her grandchildren, Trey Housden, Riley Housden, Taylor Reister, and Delia Reister. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Taylor Housden; her parents; and her sisters, Barbara Causey and Hazel Taylor.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by embracing life with the same strength and love that she did every day.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol's memory may be made to the Diabetes Research Institute.
