Carolyn D Pittard

Carolyn Dean Williamson Pittard, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 17, 1935 in Ellenwood, Georgia, and was a cherished member of the community.

Carolyn was known for her compassionate spirit, warm smile, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1953. Throughout her life, she was involved in numerous community organizations and volunteer efforts, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

As a mother, Carolyn was a guiding light, instilling values of kindness, resilience, and integrity in her children. She took great pride in her family, often sharing stories and laughter during family gatherings. Her grandchildren were the joys of her life, and she loved creating lasting memories with them.

Carolyn was an avid dedicated member of her church The Rock Baptist Church and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

She is survived by her children, Andy (Audrey) Pittard, Joe (Colleen) Pittard, and Angela (Tony) Girolomi, Nine grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, Sister Jackie Williamson White (John) and a host of friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Carolyn was preceded in death by Husband of 45 years Curtis Wiley Pittard, Son Thomas Franklin Pittard, Parents Hoke Franklin and Bessie Mae Pruett Williamson, Brother James Franklin Williamson

Carolyn Dean Williamson Pittard will be remembered for her love, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Rock Baptist Church, 6188 GA-42, Rex, GA 30273. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6188 GA-42, Rex, GA 30273. An interment will occur Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 6188 GA-42, Rex, GA 30273.
