Cecilia Torbush

Cecilia Torbush, beloved and cherished, passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on December 24, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia, to James “Buck” and Irene Ellard, Cecilia lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, and generosity. She was a resident of Jackson, Georgia.

Marie, as she was affectionately known, was a faithful and selfless individual who loved God and her family deeply. Her dedication to mission work took her overseas for ten years, where she touched many lives with her kindness. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she often prioritized their needs above her own. Marie had a fondness for listening to Elvis, which brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Irene, and her first-born daughter, Valerie. Marie is survived by her children, Tracy, Rebecca, and Stephen and his wife Dawn. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Zachary, AJ, Bubba, Victoria, Stephanie, Chris, Doug, Bethany, Stephen Jr., Cassie, and Cory, along with 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, located at 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia, on December 19, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
