I always admired Cheryl's athletic ability; something I didn't have. I have endless memories of going with my dad to watch the girls and guys basketball games at Forest Park High School. Cheryl always had a smile and a sweet spirit.

Cari and the entire Howard family. I don't need to tell you how amazing a person Cheryl was. She never met a stranger and when she was at her lowest she was always lifting others up. She loved her family and she loved her Lord and gave thanks at all times and under all circumstances. She loved her family and I know how much you loved her. I know it is a difficult time because that is the price we pay for loving someone so much. Celebrate her life because she always celebrated her life. God bless you all and just know you will see her again and what a day that will be. Peace, love and light.

I taught Cheryl in the 8th grade at Babb Jr. High. It was my first year teaching and Cheryl was "outstanding" even then. I always remembered her and probably compared all my "outstanding students" to her over my 31 year career.

Recently, we reconnected and I found her to be the same "outastanding" grown woman that she had been as a young teenager. When you have a strong character, a loving heart, and positive spirit, you are bound to make people sit up and take notice. Cheryl did that all of her life. She was a sweet spirit and I will always love her.

Cheryl was a good friend. My prayers go out to her family. She was one of the main reasons Forest Park High School was a great place.

Cheryl gave me a ride home from school one day -- out of the blue. I wanted the neighbors to see me riding with a "cool" person.

My heart is so broken that Cheryl has gone from this earth. She was a friend for over 50 years and we walked through many of our life's ups and downs together. I can still remember the first time I spent the night at her house way back then. Many fun nights spent there and many fun times at my house as well. My sweet friend, your are with your Savior and Lord with a new and strong body. There is no more pain or sorrow. You are dancing with Jesus and for that I am thankful.
Cari, Hannah, Deborah, Chris, Hayden...I pray for God's arms to hold and comfort you in the coming days, weeks and months. Only He can give that peace that passes all understanding.
