Chester Gordon Munroe, Sr. age 78 of Stockbridge passed away on February 8, 2013. Mr. Munroe was a member of Rex Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Faye Munroe, children; Chester Gordon Munroe, Jr, and his fiancée Sonja Edison, Pam Kinard and her husband John, Terry Munroe and his wife Tina, grandchildren; Allan Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Terry Munroe, Jr., Amanda McElroy, Krystal Holmes, Holly Short, Bradley Munroe, Bryan Munroe, great grandchildren; Ryan Johnson, Layla Johnson, Destiny Short, Rebecca McElroy, Michael McElroy, Cheyenne McElroy, sister; Betty McCoy and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mr. Munroe will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel with Rev. Ray Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-8 P.M. and Sunday from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
