Loving father of David Callaway (Myra), Marcus Callaway (Sherry), Matt Callaway (Wynne), Bonnie Dukes, and Phil Callaway (Azusa). He is also survived by grandchildren: Alan, Austin, Nicholas, Harris, Ellis, Charles, Brian, and Kimberly, great-grandchildren, loving family and friends.
Ray was a loving, sweet, and supportive husband, a great dad, loving grandfather, and a wonderful Christian man, he will be truly missed. Ray learned the trade as a floor finisher from his father, and carried on the family business (J.C. Callaway Flooring). Later he retired as a Fire Fighter with the City of Atlanta.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, February 27th from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Thursday, February 28th from 1 p.m. -2 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: Fairview Baptist Church, Little Bible Ministries, or American Cancer Society.
