Damian Flores, 27, died December 29, 2017 while playing soccer in the city of Suwanee, Georgia. His funeral service will be held this Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro, Georgia. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Mr. Flores was born on July 11, 1990 in East Point, Georgia to Juan and Esperanza Flores. He lived with his parents and sister, Carolina Flores, until the age of 19. He attended Georgia Gwinnett College pursuing a degree in Software Development. He worked part time in Quiktrip and enjoyed nightly soccer games with his team. He married Andrea Vega on August 1, 2011. He promised his life to his wife before the eyes of God at the Basilica of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on June 3, 2017. Mr. Flores enjoyed the blessing of love with his wife for the last 10 years of his life.
Mr. Flores was calm and serene in his Catholic faith. His character and temperament were that of a lively, energetic, and happy man with the love of his family and friends.
