

Deborah was born on November 30, 1955 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. After attending high school, she received an auxiliary personnel license from the State of Georgia Department of Education that allowed her to be her brother Buster's kindergarten teacher.
The oldest of nine, she was the ultimate jokester and loved to cook, teaching her younger siblings to cook and take care of home. Deborah enjoyed gardening, green houses, cooking, reading, drinking black coffee and puzzles. Her favorite spot was Waffle House. She was a lover and caregiver to all children and she was everyone's favorite aunt. Her grand babies were her world.
She was preceded in death by her father, Junior Newmon; son, Christopher Sewell; daughter, Jessica V. Mills; granddaughter, Jessica B. Mills; and sisters, Fay Mills and Sharon Jamerson.
Deborah’s life will forever be honored and cherished by her mother, Mary Newmon; daughter, Cynthia King (Ronnie); son, Randall Mills (Sandy); grandchildren, Andrew King, Colby King, Remington "Peanut" Jamerson, Jacob Mills and Madelon Mills; siblings, Sheila Jackson, Bobby Harper (Barry), Denise Elliott, Wanda Maughon (Larry), Buster Newmon (Tammy), James Newmon (Ame), Cliff Newmon (Michelle); a host of other relatives and family friends.
Visitation for Deborah will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. The interment will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
