She was born on February 23, 1937 in San Francisco, California to Ernest and Olive Tarver. At the young age of 17 she met a “dapper” sailor named Wallace Moore Hardin and after a 3-week whirlwind romance, they married on September 24, 1954. After the birth of their 1st son, she “Left her heart in San Francisco” and moved with Wallace to Conley, GA to raise their family.
Over the years God blessed her with a servant’s heart which included teaching Sunday School, VBS, Meals on Wheels, clown ministry for children, just to name a few. She loved crafting and used those talents to provide homemade items to homeless shelters. She was an avid sports fan but especially loved her Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets!! THWG!!!
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her adoring husband Wallace; Children, Wallace Jr. (Flor) Hardin, Karen Hardin, Kelly Hardin, Barry (Tracie) Hardin, Jennifer (Greg) Bruce and Kimberly (Nick) Smith; Her nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And, until we meet again.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
--Irish Blessing
We Love You More….this is not goodbye but so long!
