Donna Sue Sheffield

Donna Sheffiel beloved wife of Alan, mother of Jermaine and Ryan departed this life and entered into God's loving arms on Friday April 27th at 7:30 p.m. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Agnes and Henry Tartt, whom she loved very much. She leaves behind her loving and faithful husband of 35 years Alan Sheffield. Two sons, Jermaine, husband of Kandis Sheffield and father of three of her grandchildren Mach'Kye, Xavier, and Sky Sheffield. Youngest son Ryan Sheffied, husband of Karen Sheffield and father to her fourth grandchild Demetrius Sheffield. Donna was born on August 14th, 1953, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Gaynell and David Tartt. She had four sisters; Carol, Vivian, Stella and Debra, three brothers; David Tartt of California, and Sammy and Randy who preceded her in death. Three beloved cousins, who were like sisters, Sandra, Jackie and Felicia, and one God son Barry Sharp and, a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Donna was a loving mother to not two sons, but to all of our friends and family, members who were seeking that companionship. She supported her two sons from state to state always the biggest fan at the sporting events and whatever our endeavors were in life. When you think of all the characteristics of the perfect mom, several words come to mind such as Loving, Caring, Strong, Positive, Demanding, Supportive, Beautiful, Kind, and Selfless. We were able to see all of these characteristics in our Mother Donna Sue Sheffield! Thank you for being you, your legacy lives through us!. Memorial services will be held Saturday May 5, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel. Evangelist Minerva Coleman will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
