She was born on August 15, 1940, in Gilmore, Arkansas to Elisha Brown and Ora Lawrence.
At an early age Dora married Willie Lee Miles SR in Gilmore, AR and moved to Chicago, IL then to Milwaukee, WI.
Preceding Dora in death, her second husband Eric Sorenson, both parents, Elisha Brown and Ora Lawrence. Three of her children, Willie Lee Miles Jr, Linda Robinson and Josephus Miles. Seven siblings, Estell Brown, EL Brown, Rozell Brown, Elisha Brown Jr, George Brown, Arizonia Moore and Lucilla Bell.
Dora leaves to cherish her memories: One brother Richard Brown, Milwaukee, WI, sister Shelia Reese, Janesville, WI, four children, Charles Miles, San Antonio, TX, Cora Miles, Stockbridge, GA, Clemmon Miles, Texarkana, AR and Deborah Fowler, Lithonia, GA. Of the 24 grandchildren there were some favorites, but she would tell you she loved them all the same. Mark Wayne Miles, Carlotta Jeanette Walton and Trenya Renyee Fowler who kept her laughing and of course LaShondra, Shonik and Derrick, 58 great grandchildren, and her favorite great grands are Deshon and Daniel. The two that kept her company after Eric passed away. Seven great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
