Dorothy “ Dot “ Helms, age 74 of Stockbridge, a resident of Henry County for 50+ years. Passed away on September 6, 2011. She loved nature and maintained a flower garden at her residence. Mrs. Dot met her husband at Fulton Bag Company and a year later they were married. Dot is survived by her husband of 54 years; Martin Helms, son; Benny and Bonnie Helms, brothers; Collie and Eloise League, Jr., Robert and Claudette League, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Dot is predeceased by her parents Collie and Helen League. Funeral services for Mrs. Dot will be conducted on Friday September 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 8, from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
