Douglas Harmon Crail

Doug is survived by his two sons (Douglas) Danny Crail of Locust Grove, GA and David Crail (Kristine) of Atlanta, GA; former wife, Florence Crail of McDonough, GA; his grandson, Matthew Stanley of Griffin, GA; and his brother, Phil Crail (Madelyn) of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents Faye and Stuart Crail of Illinois and his brothers Rev. David Crail (Barbara) and Larry Crail (Pat) both of the Chicago area of Illinois.

Doug was born in 1944 in Maywood, Illinois. He graduated from Prospect High School in 1962 and went on to attend Central Data Institute, where he received a degree in Computer Technology/Repair.

Doug worked for the U.S. Postal Service and then Docutel Oliveti for many years. He then retired from Delta Airlines after 20 years in their IT department.

Doug was an avid UGA football fan. And he loved Classic cars. He owned many classic/collectable cars in his life including several Corvettes. Doug even drag raced cars in his younger years.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Douglas on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Following the visitation will be a private family graveside celebration of his life and committal service.
