Evye L. Blanford

She was born in Jackson, GA to the late Tommie Lee Cook and Evye Irene Thaxton Cook.

She is also preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Charles Tracy Blanford; Brothers Garland Cook, James Cook, Wendell Cook; Sisters Katherine Phillips and Shirley Elrod; Daughter-in-law Debbie Blanford;

Sons-in-law Charles Phillip Crawford, Herbert Downton, Travis Belcher, David Nicholson; Grandsons, Bradley Nicholson and Michael Nicholson.

Billie is survived by her children, Linda Crawford, John Blanford, Margie Belcher, Janice Nicholson, Joyce Nicholson and Edward Blanford; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren;

Her sister, Sara Ruth Kitchens; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

She loved her family and showed that love through her cooking, gardening, sewing and teaching her own kids and half the neighbor kids. She didn't realize she was a teacher and kids didn't realize what they were learning: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Evye on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of her life will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
