years, Briness Avery Kennedy; sons, Garry and wife Michelle, Kyle and wife Kathy; brothers, Michael Day, and David Bryan; sister, Becky Bryan; 7 grandchildren; his two girls Rose and Bobbie Sue; and many other loving family members.
Garry was an Army combat veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He received numerous medals that included the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a loyal member of the Moose lodge. He retired from Delta Air Lines in 2000 after 33 years of service. Garry was a diehard Alabama fan, and his family will miss him yelling “Roll Tide” on Saturdays.
Garry’s family will receive friends on Friday, August 19 from 6 to 8 pm at Horis A. Ward – Fairview Chapel, Stockbridge, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers family and friends may make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
