Gayle Ruth Shelnutt, age 65, of Stockbridge, GA passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015. She is survived by her husband David Shelnutt of 25 years; daughters Wendee Sexton and Stacy Cade; grandchildren, Austin, Caleb, Baylee, Jackson, Hala, Emma, Adrian, Nathan, Leyton and Spencer; sister and brother in-law Shirley and Tom Mull; son in-law James Cade, step son and wife Joe & Cindy Shelnutt; step son Davey Shelnutt; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Brian Sexton.
Gayle’s life was filled with love, kindness and laughter. She was a true southern beauty. She loved going to antique stores, thrift stores and hunting for yard sales. She was known for her kind and generous heart, her laugh, her cooking and her positive outlook in all situations. She was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends.
The Memorial Service will be held at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel at 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Family will receive visitors at 1:00 p.m. and the celebration will start at 3:00 p.m.
