George Dempsie Hall

George was born on January 31, 1940 in Morgan County, Tennessee to Curtis Raymond Hall and Bernice Irene Pennington. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He received the Expert Badge, Parachutist Badge and was a Marksman.

After his duty in the Army, George was employed by Scottish Inns of America and was the food service manager. He was an avid bicyclist. He road his bike daily until age 80; sometimes up to 12 miles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Raymond Hall and Bernice Hall and sister, Anita Jarvis.

George's life will forever be honored and cherished by his son, Dennis Hall (Tina) of McDonough, Georgia; daughter, Letena King (Jimmy) of Florence, Mississippi; grandchildren, Josh Hall (Amanda) of Williamson, Georgia, Hayley Hall of Dallas, Georgia, Michael Taylor (Gloria) of Harrisville, Mississippi, Kris Taylor of Clinton, Mississippi and Jenna Huss (Kevin) of Florence, Mississippi; brother, Roger Hall of Stockbridge, Georgia; sisters, Jewel Case of Griffin, Georgia and Linda Cody of Stockbridge, Georgia; brother-in-law, Keith Jarvis; a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and family friends.

A visitation for George will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM in The Fairview Suite at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281.

A Celebration of Life for George D. Hall will occur on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00AM in The Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Interment with Military Honors will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
