Homer Mays, Sr., age 87, of Stockbridge, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 12:00pm, with David Clark and Joe Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Mays retired from the Local Bricklayers union. He was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Glen & Lori Mays, son, Wade Mays and daughter, Lisa Mays Howell, grandchildren; Andy Mays and is wife, Kayla Mays, Ashley Mays Bradford and her husband, Seth Bradford and Logan Howell, great grandchildren; Bailee and Blakelee Bradford, brother, Gene Mays, sisters; Margaret Wade and Mildred Williams, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Lucille Mays, wife, Ruby Mays, brothers; James, Earl Jr., and Jack Mays and sister, Christine Thompson.
