

Homer Morris Wilson, 87, of East Point passed away peacefully June 28, 2010. He was born and raised in Stockbridge, Georgia and retired from Shuron Optical. He and his wife served the Lord in ministry for more than 50 years with the Assemblies of God. He had a heartfelt love for the Lord and was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his home and enjoyed gardening. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Rev. Annie Sue Wilson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Jerry Gatlin; granddaughter Roxane Schiliventz and Richard Gatlin; 4 great grandchildren; brother Fred Wilson, and sister, Thelma Osborn. Funeral service for Mr. Wilson will be held on Thursday July 1, 2010 at Ward’s Fairview Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Lewis, Rev. Edgar Waters, and Rev. Bob McCurry officiating .
Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
