Margaret Irene Edwards Young, age 91, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 1pm, with Bro. Bob Howard and Jack Worthey officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.
Mrs. Young was a native of DeKalb County. She worked for Big Star for 40 years, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved cooking and feeding everybody.
She is survived by Thomas & Mila Young of Conyers, David Young of Shadydale, Phillip Young of Conyers, Judy & Sammy Thompson of Stockbridge and Connie & Donald McWilliams of Oxford, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and extended family, Dot McCullough and Wansley Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James Young, parents, Calvin Edwards and Ella Edwards and her sister, Elizabeth Louise Long.
