James R. Carr, Jr. age 64 of Stockbridge passed away August 13th. Mr. Carr was a veteran of the Vietnam war having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday August 17th in the Harvest Baptist Tabernacle at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Allen, Jr. and Rev Doug Ledford officiating with interment to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens with military honors.He is survived by his wife; Janice Carr. 3 daughters; Nikki Lambert, Sheila Whitman and Amy Thomas. 2 sons; James Carr III and Jody Carr. 8 grandchildren. 2 sisters; Jan Dockery and Joan Cody. 3 brothers; Jerry, Joe and Jack Carr. Nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday August 16th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Horis A. Ward-Fairview Chapel in charge of arrangements.
