James Floyd Ivey

James was born June 25, 1932, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Calvin and Grace Ivey.

He enjoyed several hobbies, including fishing, but he enjoyed spending his time with family most of all. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, , James was preceded in death by His Wife Carol, one daughter, Jame Sullivan; and one grandson, Michael Martin. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Vicki Martin and Denise Pate; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Morgan, Stephanie Childress, Robby Martin, Kevin Martin (Korbin), Kelly Lyle, Wesly Pate, James Sullivan, and Traci Seagrave (Daniel); fourteen great grandchildren, Kurt Morgan, Jr., Timothy Childress, Christian Childress, Mason Childress, Virginia Childress, Winston Pate, William Pate, David Lyle, Elizabeth Lyle, Emma Sullivan, Anna Sullivan, Katie Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, and Mary Sullivan; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, on May 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, on May 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
