Joan Ashley, of Lithonia, died peacefully on April 22. She was born May 21, 1933 to Kermitt and LouSena Parker Crowe. Mrs. Ashley is preceded in death by her loving parents, son, Glenn Brian Ashley; daughter, Beverly Bardett, and brother, James E Crowe.
She is survived by husband, Glenn Ashley; son, Gene Baylor (Lynette) Ashley, daughter, Leslie Ashley (John) Cobb, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one sister Patrica Crowe Principe. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, at the Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel funeral home from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 11am, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 984 Panola Road, Ellenwood.
