Hold mi primo.  II found this pic on my table idk how but you have been on my mind all week. I miss you so very much.  More of my brother than a cousin. Miss our talks  always. I love you and each time the crane is in my yard I  remember you. Yiyr swing us still on the porch and will be til I leave.  You are loved deeply and thought of daily.

Mi primo once again I sit in the yard as today our Randy is joining you and sure enough one of those birds I would call you on is again in the yard. I immediately thought of calling you each time these creatures appeared since your love of birds was like my dads. A true Avian. I think of you very often and miss you so very much. I love you.

God I wish you could've been here for this election. It honestly hurts my heart so bad that you don't get to see how I've changed for the better. How I've yelled at my mother for loving Trump, clowned on anti-maskers, and became un-brainwashed lmao. I miss you so much and I'd give literally anything to have one last conversation with you. I'd give literally anything to know you're proud of me because I think of you every time I do something even remotely life-changing. I just wish we had more time together. I love you father, and I wish I accepted every time you offered me cuddles. Curse being a teen... 

lol bro thinking of you so very often specially now since we are four days away from the elections. I know we would have shared priceless conversations hopes and dreams and opinions on all that has happened. I miss you and thought of as I voted. God granted me a wish and it came true a very close person who normally votes red voted blue in your honor. Did I cry Yeap tears of joy because I knew it was for your memory. I love you and miss you more than you know. 

John was a great teammate and even better person!  I had the distinct privilege of working with John over the past 2+ years at Amazon.  

We started around the same time back in the summer of 2017 and had a week of training down in Dallas, TX and I got to know John personally and professionally.  

We didn't work in the same geographical region however our technical skills and interests aligned in late 2018 and most of 2019 when we led a multi-month hackathon working with very smart and precocious students from the Youth Entrepreneurs (YE) program in Wichita, KS.

During this time, we made a few trips out to Kansas and Texas to work with students in the YE program.  John was so good with the kids and in fact led the winning student team in a game of Disruptus.  His impact was highlighting unintended use of everyday objects to build a solution of said objects, John grace and humor was evident throughout our time working with the YE students.

John's mentorship of the students extended all the way to the final event in Detroit, MI where John helped to calm nerves and gave inspiration to the students to help them realize Shark Tank glory as the students presented their Hackathon ideas to a panel of judges.

I will never forget John being a calming influence to a group of nervous students practicing their pitches in the overflow room before jumping into the shark tank.  John will be missed by everyone he has worked with at Amazon and I will never forget the privilege of knowing such a wonderful human being.

Sending so much love to John’s family. Mia and Abbie, I love you so so much. Your father was a strong man and he cared so much about the both of you, and every single person he came in contact with. Every time I was around him, I never felt left out of conversation. So many memories. 

John was a good man with a good heart.  His passion for his craft and his dedication will be remembered.  In loving memory to a wonderful man John Bentley. May his legacy never be forgotten and his kindness live on in our memories. 

My littlest brother loved to share our exact political views and crack up on our own jokes. Our last FaceTime was awesome he was witty as usual . John never ever complained no matter how bad he felt he always told me fine. He was always upbeat and happy and love to share recipes. His favorite saying in Spanish translation was I love you , I adore you , I will buy you a parrot! It sounds odd but it was always his I gotta sign off. See you lil bro and I love you more! My sign off. 

I grew up with John in Riverdale Ga. he was my best friend as a kid. I remember spending nights at his house and eating the famous cheese and ketchup sandwich. John was a great man and love to debate any and all issues. John you will be missed sir!!  

I mett John Alfred when he was an adorable tall, and clever 3 year old who loved to tell jokes. I remember his musical talents and his curiosity for things including taking a computer apart to "see" the insides (yikes).  He and I enjoyed many intellectual friendly debates in the distant past about politics, religion, and science, for which he had to have the last word, LOL. He was very intelligent, and loving and was Cecilia and Randy's pride and joy. You will be missed brother. Say hi to Papi and Mami for me.  - JoAnn

I lost my little brother. So glad we spoke this week told each other I love you. I will see you again.

What I will always remember and forever cherish about John, is how he made my beautiful and dear sister feel loved and supported.  He was the best husband to her. He also was a wonderful father to all of his children, this was easy to see as he showed it in so many ways. Avery and Jackson had the best dad. Robyn would tell me all the little things he would do to support their curiosity and interests. 
He had the best heart that was full of love, kindness and generosity. You will be deeply missed John, but we will continue to see you in this life in each of your beautiful children and in the ways you have impacted the lives of so many people. I am so sorry for your deep loss Bentley family! 

The John Alfred I knew and will always remember, will be that witty, chunky, super tall little boy I grew up with and saw every Friday night for Church service at Cofiño's house.  Rest easy in the arms of Jesus John Alfred.  Say hi to  Celso, Rosita and my Mom for me. You definitely have a better view than me.  Until we meet again,  Aldys

I met John in Dallas when someone asked me "do you wanna meet someone who died... at least once?"

We were both hired at Amazon at roughly the same time, and we were in the same training cohort. I knew at that time that John was one of the most interesting, enchanting, joyful people I had met. Over many years working with him since that summer in Texas, I've come to know him as a profoundly good soul. 

He was more than a co-worker. He was a friend who joined me on a mission to help everyone - and I mean everyone - build brighter futures for themselves and their communities. A force of sheer inspiration, I personally witnessed him touch the lives of countless young people from fragile communities from across the country as he inspired them to be innovative, forward-thinking entrepreneurs. We are all poorer today without him.
