John Leonard Keeling, Jr, age 88, of Decatur, GA passed away on January 11, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Edith H Keeling; son, John Michael Keeling and his wife Cathy; daughter, Suzanne Stripling and her husband Kevin; grandchildren, Jonathan Stripling, Beth Lamb, Jennifer Hewatt, Jessica Mixon, and Krysten Keeling; 7 great grandchildren and one great grandson to arrive soon.
Mr. Keeling was born on February 2, 1928 in Chattahoochee, GA. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the Smyrna Presbyterian Church. Mr. Keeling enjoyed gardening and feeding his birds. He retired from ATT after 42 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, from 10 am to 12 pm at Horis A. Ward – Fairview. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
