Judy P. Crowder

Judy Phillips Crowder, (JuJu), of Hiawassee, Georgia peacefully left this world on July 16, 2026 at the age 68 and entered into her Heavenly Mansion prepared for her by her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Judy was preceded in death by her brother, James Phillips and her father-in-law Max Crowder. She is survived by her faithful husband of 35 years, Brian Crowder; parents Robert and Barbara Phillips; brother Michael Phillips and his wife Dianne; mother-in-law Betty Jo Crowder; sister-in-law Elizabeth Carlson and her husband Grant; brother-in-law Jay Crowder; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Judy graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1976 where she was a cheerleader cheering for her beloved Saints. She attended Dekalb College South and Central Campus where she earned an Associate degree in Business. Judy went to work at J.C. Penney’s Regional Office and later moved to Virginia to work for the Life of Virginia Insurance Company. After 10 years of applying for a job at Delta Air Lines, Judy was hired for her dream job as a Flight Attendant. She worked for over 24 years with Delta until her retirement in 2012.

Judy loved life…she never met a stranger and if she ever met you, she never forgot who you were. She was going to have a good time and wanted others to have a good time too. Judy enjoyed spending time with friends, especially special weekends with “The Grove Girls.” Judy worked tirelessly in organizing several class reunions for Cedar Grove High School. She was at her best at these reunions reconnecting with old friends and reliving memories.

Another important part of Judy’s life was her service at McConnell Baptist in Hiawassee. She and her husband, Brian, were faithful members of the church where they served their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ by participating on the First Touch Ministry. In addition, Judy sang in the choir and now she is signing in her Heavenly Choir.
