June Duke

June Duke age 73 of McDonough passed away January 3, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born March 24, 1938 in Heard County, Georgia to Jeff and Floy Duke. June was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She was an active member of Glen Haven Baptist Church and was also an avid scrabble player who consistently scored above 300 points. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jana and Scott Bostwick. 2 grandchildren Sarah and Emily Bostwick of McDonough. 2 brothers Jerry and wife Jean Duke, and Joel Duke.Sister-in-law Irma Shelnut. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday January 6, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Glen Haven Baptist Church where she will lie-in-state 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Stan Berrong will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday January 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Glen Haven Baptist Church building fund.
