LT. Colonel Lawrence Theodore Saltee, retired, 92, of Lilburn, Georgia, entered the Kingdom of the Lord, Thursday, August 16th at 7:30 am. For the past 18 months Lawrence has lived in Daphne, Alabama with his children.
A graveside celebration of his life will be held at 2:00pm, on Wednesday, August 22nd 2018 at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road. Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
Lawrence was born September 28, 1925in Hecla, South Dakota. He served proudly in WW II, Korean War and two tours of duty in Vietnam. His helicopter was shot down twice in Combat in Vietnam. He had a highly decorated military career.
Lawrence was very active in the Shriners in the Lilburn area. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona Saltee and his second wife, Runette Green Saltee; Lawrence left behind his children, Linda (Norman) East, of Oxford, AL., Lucia (Scott) Wilcox of Enterprise, AL., and Larry (Sharon) Saltee of Daphne, AL and Sharon Windham (John) of Auburn, AL, Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He also, left behind his step children, James Green (deceased), step daughter-in-law, Barbara Green of Lilburn, GA., Janet (Larry) Glenn of Lilburn, GA., Gloria Keenan of Hilton Head, SC., Darice Heist of Monroe, GA., Charles Green, III.(Deceased), MS, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
