She was born in LaGrange, Georgia to Edgar and Lillian Henshall on October 17, 1928.
She was married to Robert Lloyd Mathis, II "Bob" for 12 wonderful years. Then, after his passing, in 1975 Lillian and her family relocated to Palm Beach County, Florida. She moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 2002 which became her forever home.
Lillian is survived by her daughters, Melissa Mathis Medina (Juan) and Priscilla Mathis Johnson (Scott); granddaughters, Jordan Lynn and Logan Nichol Johnson; and several loving extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lloyd Mathis, II "Bob".
She was employed with Southern Bell for 17 years and was the owner of "The Snooty Fox" dress boutique for 8 years. Bitsy was a member of the Red Hats Society and The Newcomers Welcoming Committee. She enjoyed assisting all events for the associations that she was part of.
Bitsy loved to go shopping and out to lunch with her girls and friends; she was a social butterfly. She was an avid artist and loved to draw and write. She especially loved keeping in communication with her family and friends via Facebook. Mostly, Bitsy loved being around her family.
A visitation (10 person rotation intervals) will be held at Horis A. Ward-Fairview Chapel at 376 Fairview Road in Stockbridge, Georgia 30281 on September 1, 2020 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM (guests must wear a mask) with a service to follow at 2:00PM and will be streamed LIVE via https://www.facebook.com/HAWFairview
There will be a burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens also in Stockbridge, Georgia.
