Lindy Farmer, Sr., age 89, of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 20, 2020. A native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a long time resident of Henry County, Mr. Farmer was a true southern gentleman. He served 30 plus years as a deacon in the church. He was currently affiliated with Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Farmer retired from Olivetti Underwood after working for over 20 years as a service technician.
He is survived by his children, Lindy Farmer, Jr. of Ellenwood, Donald (Margie) Farmer of Stockbridge, Dale Farmer of McDonough and Joy (Tim) Pippin of Stockbridge; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Farmer; mother, Debbie Barber; daughter-in-law, Patsy Farmer and his loving wife of 66 years, Sara Brooks Farmer.
Visitation for Mr. Lindy Farmer, Sr. will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home-Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, where the Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:30PM. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
