Margaret Mitchell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful friend whose life was defined by her kindness, generosity, and servant's heart.
Margaret found great joy in cooking, especially for her church family at Eastside Baptist Church. She faithfully prepared meals for families following the loss of their loved ones, offering comfort through her delicious home-cooked food and compassionate spirit. She had a deep love for gardening and could often be found tending to her tomato plants and beautiful flowers. Of all her favorite pastimes, however, nothing brought her more happiness than spending time fishing.
Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Mitchell; her sons, John Robert Mitchell and Benjamin Lee Mitchell; and her daughter, Patricia Diane Mitchell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Donald Lamar Mitchell and his wife, Kathy; her daughter-in-law, Connie Mitchell; her cherished grandchildren, Levi, Nikki, Paul, and Steven; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Brianna Jackson, John Michael, and Preston, along with many extended family members, church family, and dear friends who will forever remember her love, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Margaret's legacy of compassion, service to others, and love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be held at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, on August 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, US, on August 6, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm.
