Martin B. Andrews, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 91, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and unwavering integrity.
Born in St. Joseph’s, Trinidad, Martin was the only son of the late Hedley and Olga Andrews and a beloved brother to his sister, Daphne Nanton. From an early age, he embodied diligence and responsibility—qualities that shaped a life marked by hard work and purpose.
Martin built a distinguished career as an aircraft mechanic with British West Indies Airlines (BWIA). In 1969, he courageously relocated to the United States with his beloved wife, Victoria, and their children, pursuing new opportunities while remaining deeply committed to family. He later worked with Executive Airlines and went on to retire after 20 years as a master mechanic with St. Johnsbury Trucking.
A man of deep faith, Martin stood firm in his beliefs and served the Lord faithfully as a Deacon. His service spanned several congregations, including Grace Church of All Nations in Boston, Massachusetts; The Faith Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Tabernacle of Praise Church International in McDonough, Georgia. His life was a testimony of bravery, humility, and steadfast devotion to God.
Above all, Martin loved his family. He was a loving husband for 68 years to his wife, Victoria Andrews, whom he married on October 27, 1957. His final wish was simple yet profound—that his family continue to live together in love. That wish now lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Martin is survived by his devoted wife, Victoria Andrews; his children, Claudia Cross, Trevor Garcia, Sherma Andrews, Debra Andrews, Allison Thomas, Courtney Andrews, and Dexter Andrews; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He will be deeply missed and forever cherished. His legacy of faith, love, and family will continue to guide generations to come.
